Nausheen Barkat has a mission in life: to take organic products from her hometown in Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan to the world. Her dream began while she was still a student at the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Hunza. Now as an alumna she has already taken an important first step.
Munir Merali, diplomatic representative of AKDN in Bangladesh, talks about the work of different agencies within the country. Projects include the new Aga Khan Academy, work by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, and partnerships with the government to improve the quality of life of all people in Bangladesh.
University of the People scholarship recipient, Timoteo Ombati, from the Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi shares how this scholarship will help him grow as a teacher and his experience teaching the Middle Years Programme (MYP). He says that he considers this scholarship to be one of the best forms of professional development and that it was the best occasion for him to learn and grow as a teacher.
The “Best pre-school teacher in Tajikistan-2019” is Angoma Atomamadova, an Early Childhood Development (ECD) teacher from Aga Khan Education Service, Khorog Park Early Childhood Development Centre.
