AKDN education around the world

I have come to the conclusion that there is no greater form of preparation for change than education. I also think that there is no better investment that the individual, parents and the nation can make than an investment in education of the highest possible quality.

For over 100 years, the AKDN has worked to increase the quality and availability of learning opportunities for students of all ages. Its programmes and institutions span the educational spectrum, from early childhood programmes to primary and secondary schools, and from vocational training to university degrees and continuing professional development.

By promoting a continuous ladder of lifetime learning, the Network aims is to give children and young people the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will help them interact effectively with the world and be contributing members and leaders of a pluralist society.

International Day of Education is celebrated on 24 January every year.  Take a tour of this gallery to learn more about what the AKDN is doing in education around the world.
