Lisbon, Portugal, 6 September 2013 - The 2013 Aga Khan Awards for Architecture were presented by His Excellency Aníbal Cavaco Silva, President of the Portuguese Republic, and His Highness the Aga Khan on 6 September 2013. Established in 1977, the Awards are given every three years. They recognise all types of building projects that positively affect today’s built environments and set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation and landscape architecture.
