The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) in Tajikistan is focussed on the themes of rural development, health, education and civil society.  It reaches approximately 1.4 million people in 32 out of 54 districts in all four regions of the country. AKF implements projects through the Mountain Societies Development Support Programme (MSDSP), the Institute for Pedagogical Development (IPD) and other AKDN agencies.
