Singapour, 2 April 2012 - His Highness the Aga Khan paid a working visit to Singapore from 31st March to 2nd April 2012 during which he held discussions with the country's President, Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam and its Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong. The Aga Khan also met with Singapore’s Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, and with senior representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Singapore Economic Development Board, the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. The Aga Khan Development Network and Singaporean institutions are collaborating on a number of initiatives, notably in the domains of culture and education, and on a proposed AKDN Regional Office and Ismaili Centre to be established in Singapore. In the course of his visit, the Aga Khan also met with members of the Ismaili community from across the Far East.
