Pyar Ali: Building self-reliance through microfinance

A series of costly medical expenses caused Pyar Ali to lose everything, including his business.  After consulting a friend, he took out what became the first in a series of loans from the First MicroFinance Bank (FMFB) Ltd Pakistan. Over time, these loans have enabled Pyar to establish a successful garment production shop. In addition to improving his own family’s income, self-reliance and well-being, he is happy to provide employment to four other people, who earn their livelihoods from working in his shop.
