AKDN Resident Representative meets IFC Regional Manager for Central Asia to discuss cooperation

Earlier this week, Ambassador and Resident Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Tajikistan, Mr. Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, met with the Regional Manager of International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Central Asia, Ms. Cassandra Colbert. Mr. Qoimdodov and Ms. Colbert discussed ways to expand collaboration between the two international organisations to design and develop joint national and regional programmes to create employment and to improve the quality life of people in Tajikistan.  The two discussed the merits of Pamir Energy considered as one of the best models of  public-private partnership between the AKDN and the Government of Tajikistan. The programme is making a significant and positive impact not only on improving the lives of the people of Tajikistan’s Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), but also on the people of Afghanistan’s Badakhshan Province.
