We follow community health volunteers on their rounds in Kenya and Tanzania, to learn more about the key health and gender equality issues facing rural communities. We see the crucial role that these volunteers play in improving family health… particularly in combatting harmful misconceptions about pregnancy and newborn care, and ensuring that pregnant women get timely, professional care at a health facility.
