Instead of having them worry about finding jobs, the Naryn Centre for Entrepreneurship is helping young people to create their own.

Scientists at the University of Central Asia have identified common beans – which often require sufficient irrigation to grow – that can adapt to harsh climatic conditions and provide mountainous communities a reliable source of nutrition during the lean season.
In a region where women have lower earnings and fewer employment opportunities than men, UCA’s School for the Advancement of Gender Equality is helping local organisations to accelerate change by putting gender on the political and legislative agendas.
Considering climate change and the need for economic development in the region, the University of Central Asia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to develop a sustainable tourism plan for Naryn.
