One of the Malian virtuoso of the Kora, Ballake Sissoko, released a new album. Titled "Djourou" or rope in Bamanankan, this opus is the result of its collaboration with eight other performers and instrumentalists. In 2019, Ballaké Sissoko was rewarded, along with Oumou Sangaré, by the Aga Khan Music Award in the category "Distinguished and Enduring Contributions to Music".
