Salim Bhatia, Director of the Aga Khan Academies, said the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka will be established soon to provide international standard education for students and prepare them for leadership roles in Bangladesh and across the world.
With an aim to inaugurate by 2020, the construction work of the Aga Khan Academy is going to start by this year. The Academy in Dhaka will eventually be part of a network of 18 centres of educational excellence in a total of 14 countries across Africa, Central and South Asia and the Middle East.

The Aga Khan Academy in Dhaka by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Shatotto has won the Education Future Project Award.
Students, teachers and officials from the Aga Khan School in Dhaka visited the office of country’s leading English newspaper, the Daily Sun, to get a glimpse of the day-to-day operations of a media house.
On September 15th, the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, co-hosted a ‘Forum on International Education for Global Citizens’ in Dhaka, bringing together all stakeholders including students.
